FOUNDING ARTISTIC DIRECTOR (MAY 2024 - present)
The mission of Eunoia Theatre is to create exciting and dynamic story-telling events in unexpected ways, in both conventional and unconventional spaces, for audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Activating our ensemble’s full range of skills and experiences, and in partnership with local organizations, Eunoia Theatre will respond to—and challenge—the artistic needs of the community, while providing a playful, supportive and collaborative environment for theatre artists.
Since its founding in 2024, Eunoia’s output has included full productions, staged readings, theatre for young audiences, workshops, benefits, masterclasses, and a new play development program.
THE PUBLIC THEATER, NEW YORK, NY
EDUCATION MANAGER, PUBLIC SHAKESPEARE INITIATIVE (AUG 2016 - SEPT 2021)
Designed, developed, and managed all youth and adult education output for preeminent not-for-profit producing theatre
Responsibilities included hiring and managing teams of administrators, artists, and technicians; developing and nurturing relationships with schools, community stakeholders, the New York City Department of Education, and donors
Programs included:
Hunts Point Children’s Shakespeare Ensemble (HPCSE), an 8-month after-school program for 4th-6th graders using theatre skills to develop community, literacy, and social emotional skills. Partnered directly with the Hunts Point Alliance for Children, a not-for-profit community organization for the educational and social advancement of K-12 Hunts Point residents
Public Teachers: Continuing education program for NYC public school teachers consisting of intensive workshops, full-day trainings, events, and networking
Youth Theatre: Developed opportunities both pre- and post-pandemic for student groups to engage with the Theater in a variety of creative ways, including a partnership with Lexington School for the Deaf and professional NYC-based Deaf artists
The Mobile Unit: During pandemic staff shortages, assisted director in the planning and execution of major outdoor touring production in partnership with New York City Department of Transportation and community leadersIn collaboration with general management, led the development of best practices for safeguarding and child protection in all aspects of the Public Theater’s work with children and vulnerable adults
Primary liaison between The Public Theater and partners, artists, and community stakeholders
Managed a team of up to 20 employees and interns; responsible for scheduling, payroll, conflict resolution, and productivity management
Oversaw workshop planning and all curriculum design, maintaining quality standards in content and delivery across multiple programs and events of varying scale
THE SHAKESPEARE SOCIETY, NEW YORK, NY
EDUCATION DIRECTOR (AUG 2015 - AUG 2016)
Designed and developed all education output from design to execution
Led the Shakespeare in Schools program which consisted of sending teams to partner schools around the city for workshops, presentations, and community engagement
Greatly expanded the scope, quality, accessibility, and content of the professional development program, Teaching Teachers; developed new curriculum and brought in new artists
Developed and maintained good relationships with a large of network of freelance teaching artists; built and managed teams to deliver curriculum and content across programs
Assisted in the execution of a merger with Public Theater, scaling the output and quality of the work and the transfer of existing partnerships and donors as well as the development of new relationships and resources
THE SHAKESPEARE FORUM, NEW YORK, NY
EDUCATION DIRECTOR (JAN 2014 - AUG 2015)
Designed education output for the 2014 / 15 academic year in line with common core standards
Developed relationships with individuals and organizations working under the New York City DOE
Responsible for the planning and delivery of Shakespeare Forum professional practice classes
Was instrumental in establishing policies and standards for the Education Department
Created a permanent Youth Company that met weekly to work on Shakespeare and classical acting skills; culminated in a fully staged production at the end of the year
Developed bespoke teacher training packages to increase accessibility of Shakespeare in the classroom
Staffed workshops and oversaw curriculum design
Managed departmental budget and led fundraising efforts
BIRMINGHAM REPERTORY THEATRE, UK

Responsible for the creative direction of 10 productions/projects per year for the Young REP
Managed Schools and Community Partnerships and development of projects
